3D printing can create the new and unseen three-dimensional complex structures that topology optimization results in, and the technology is currently available to many more.

The combination of topology optimization and 3D printing opens up a unique opportunity for structural and multidisciplinary optimization.

In addition to working with products where weight is reduced, ENPROLAB also works on finding structures that are optimized in relation to other properties than what is commercially the focus, namely to reduce the use of material.

To achieve lighter structures with high strength, algorithms are developed to also include limitations to existing manufacturing methods - but without compromising on optimization.
